What age children is Dramatastic Camp suitable for?
Dramatastic Camps are designed for boys and girls aged 4-13. We recommend participation for children who are either currently in Primary school or will commence their primary education in September, or have completed their 1st year of the ECCE Scheme.
What should my child wear to Dramatastic Camp?
Keep it cosy and comfy! Dress your child in easy-to-move outfits like tracksuit bottoms or leggings. Choose runners, for a mix of comfort and safety. Be ready for anything – pack rain gear for surprise showers and bring along sunscreen and a cap for sunny days. We've got all the bases covered at Dramatastic Camp
When is registration and group organisation?
Registration opens from 8 45am on Day One of camp. Camp hours are 9am to 2pm for the remainder of the week
Parents/Guardians must sign in their child on the first morning of camp.
Each child will be assigned to a group tailored to their age.
Some children may express a desire to be grouped with siblings or friends-reasonable accommodations will be made.
Post-registration, our Camp Manager will take attendance. The Camp Manager will introduce our fantastic staff and provide an overview of the week's upcoming activities.
What should my child bring to Dramatastic Camp?
Pack a nutritious lunch and plenty to drink. Children will have two supervised breaks each day. In sunny weather, apply sunscreen and consider sending a cap. Please label all belongings clearly.
What are the camp hours?
Dramatastic Camps run from 9am to 2pm daily.
How can lost property be retrieved?
Each evening any lost property will be displayed in the hall. Please ensure that all your child’s belongings are labelled.
Can my child bring their mobile phone?
Children should not bring mobile phones to camp. Should they require them after camp, they must remain powered off in their bags. We are not responsible for lost or damaged phones.
What are the supervision times?
Children are supervised during specified camp hours only.
What is the experience like for solo booking and does my child need experience?
Our activities ensure everyone gets to know each other. No prior experience or talent is necessary. Dramatastic Camps cater to all levels, aiming to foster positive integration, build self-esteem and celebrate the unique qualities in each child.
Can I change or cancel my child's registration?
For changes or cancellations, please refer to our registration policy on our website. We strive to accommodate reasonable requests and ensure a hassle-free experience for parents.
Are all staff trained in Child Protection and Safeguarding?
Yes, all our staff are experienced educators who undergo in-depth training in health and safety, child protection and more as part of our commitment to providing a secure and nurturing environment at Dramatastic.
What happens in case of an emergency during camp hours?
Rest assured, our staff is trained to handle emergencies. We have well-defined protocols in place, and parents will be immediately notified in the event of any emergency.
Can I visit the camp during the week to check on my child's progress?
To ensure the protection and safety of your child, we do not permit access to our camp beyond designated drop-off and collection times. This policy is in place to prioritise and maintain the safety of your child.
How can I inform the camp about my child's allergies?
During the registration process, please provide detailed information about your child's allergies. Our staff will take necessary precautions and communicate with you to ensure a comprehensive understanding of your child's needs.
Are there restrictions on certain foods due to allergies?
While we do not provide food, we strongly advise parents to pack lunches that are free from common allergens, such as nuts and to communicate any specific dietary restrictions or allergies their child may have.
What if my child has a severe allergy or requires an EpiPen?
If your child has a severe allergy or requires an EpiPen, please inform us during the registration process.
How are behavioural issues managed at Dramatastic Camp?
At Dramatastic Camp, we approach behavioural issues with a focus on creating a positive and respectful environment for all participants. Our experienced team employs positive behaviour management techniques that encourage cooperation, understanding and mutual respect. In the rare instance that a child's behaviour poses a safety concern for themselves or others and is not in compliance with camp rules, entry to the camp may be restricted to ensure the overall safety and well-being of everyone involved.
Are there any hidden fees or additional costs not mentioned in the registration fee?
No hidden surprises! Our transparent pricing includes all essential camp activities and materials.
Will there be photography and videos of the children?
We may take photos/videos at camp for promotions. Parents have the right to say no. Your child's privacy matters; let us know during registration if you prefer they not be included.
